There are many creative writing tools and software for today's serious writers. Creative writing, writing novels and excellent works of fiction are not easy in the least. Most people who write choose a robust word processing program and the most common is Microsoft Word 2007.
I recommend Microsoft Word 2007 for its many features, of course there are a few folks who recommend Word Perfect or Linux's word processing program. Generally these folks are anti-Microsoft and will not admit Microsoft is better. There are some special writer software programs out there and you can find them by searching Microsoft Live Search, Yahoo or Google, the ones I have found are:

Many of these have cool features, but the most robust program is Microsoft Word 2007 and sure you might save a little money, but realize that you need Microsoft Word 2007 if you are a serious writer. If you are cheater type, you might use some organizational writing software to assist you, but whereas this might help a little, the templates available for Microsoft Word are incredible.
